Baldwin Aviation, the world’s leading provider of customized safety management and operational efficiency systems for aviation, ground and airport operations, has announced a strategic alliance with one of the industry’s leading aviation safety consultancies, Safety Operating Systems (SOS). The new collaborative program, BaldwinSOS, provides clients of both firms with a suite of additional a la carte services that further enhances and supports safety.
Baldwin’s vast experience supporting business aviation, helicopter medical transport, small commercial operations and data sharing through its proprietary safety management system and SAVVYdoc manual management software coupled with SOS’s expertise with large commercial operations provides a 360-degree safety program for a wide range of organizations. Building upon Baldwin’s facilitation of aviation safety information analysis and sharing and aviation safety action programs data collection, SOS also brings flight data management (FDM/FOQA) to raise the bar and further simplify client’s safety programs.
“This arrangement is an extremely efficient and immediate way for both of us to offer significant enhancements to the services we currently provide our clients,” said Don Baldwin, chief executive officer of Baldwin Aviation Safety and Compliance. “We now offer a complement of services and programs our clients have been yearning for.
“We believe we are raising the standard for safety in the industry to an even higher level. BaldwinSOS will further solidify our companies’ ability to offer a premier collaborative safety management program, and bring exceptional concierge support services to both Baldwin and SOS clients. We’re extremely pleased to be working with SOS,” said Baldwin. “The BaldwinSOS collaboration will further strengthen our programs by supplementing the identification and monitoring of safety performance Indicators through Baldwin’s innovative report cards.”
“The strategic alliance of Baldwin with SOS brings two leaders in aviation safety together to give clients more services and new combined services,” said John Cox, president of Safety Operating Systems, based in Washington, D.C. “BaldwinSOS provides a partnership of proven leadership in safety, training, flight data monitoring, and safety management systems. From large airlines to single aircraft operations BaldwinSOS is the right cost-effective safety enhancement. More safety for less cost. Baldwin is a great organization and we are delighted to be in partnership with them.
“BaldwinSOS now makes flight operations quality assurance (FOQA) and flight data monitoring (FDM) more readily available to Baldwin clients, whose data monitoring will now be incorporated into their Baldwin portal,” John Cox continued.  “By working together, BaldwinSOS is able to provide very attractive pricing for implementing and servicing FDM for operators. This unique process ensures that maximum information is gained from the data and recorded in monthly reports that provide operators with clear information on their flight operations. Trend data within the monthly report will also highlight critical safety trends and allow early mitigation.”
