Avinco announced it has launched its U.S. subsidiary, Avinco Americas Corporation (AAC), located in New York City. Avinco Americas Corp. has been set up to support the expansion of the company’s helicopter and commercial aircraft activities in North America.
Avinco’s commercial director Aurélie Millet will be moving to the U.S. to develop the helicopter commercial activity alongside Kris DeSoto who had joined Avinco Americas this month as commercial director, North America.
Millet has been with Avinco’s helicopter commercial team for seven years, based in the Monaco office and has extensive experience in the American markets. DeSoto was responsible for Airbus Helicopters’ private and corporate aviation segment for the U.S. market and Northeast Region for all other segments.
DeSoto previously worked for Bell Helicopter Latin America.

Avinco already has a strong foothold in Canadian and South American markets and is looking to strengthen this further, and develop its network and business in the U.S. Avinco is also currently setting up its commercial aircraft commercial team to develop its remarketing, finance structuring, leasing and asset management activity in North America.
The company aims to develop closer relationships with U.S. and Canadian investors and airlines.

“We are very excited to launch Avinco Americas and very fortunate to have attracted someone like Kris DeSoto at this critical juncture in Avinco’s development,” said François Gautier, CEO. “It has become increasingly important to us to support our expanding commercial activities in the Americas with the right resource and infrastructure; we see Aurélie’s transfer and Kris’s appointment as perfect combination, which will play a significant role the success of this launch.”
”I am thrilled to have the opportunity to play a role in the development of Avinco Americas, and to work with Aurélie and Avinco’s global team,” said DeSoto.
Avinco Americas Corp. offices will be located in Manhattan, New York.
