Calstar base in Gilroy marks 18th anniversary

The California Shock Trauma Air Rescue (Calstar) base in Gilroy the busiest of all Calstar bases has marked its 18th anniversary.
The bases 150 nautical mile range extends from the San Francisco Bay Area to Santa Cruz, and primarily serves trauma patients (70 percent). The rest of the crews work is inter-facility transport.
Calstar operates an MD 902 Explorer at the base.
