VERTICAL 911 is On Scene
MHM Publishing announced today that the long-awaited launch of the first-responder-focused special issues of Vertical Magazine would be making their debut at the Airborne Law Enforcement Association (ALEA) 2008 Conference and Exposition from July 16-19. These specially focused issues, to be known as Vertical 911, will cater to the parapublic sector of the helicopter industry, and will be timed to coincide with ALEA’s main conference, and the Air Medical Transport Conference in October.
Said editor-in-chief Mike Reyno: “For awhile now, the market has been asking us for more in-depth coverage of fire, EMS and law-enforcement related topics. We wanted to wait until we knew we had the right contributors in place to ensure the content would be as valuable as our regular issues. And, we wanted to make sure our infrastructure was strong enough that we didn’t take anything away from Vertical. In fact, Vertical 911’s focus has actually strengthened the regular issues by freeing up space to add more unique insights and perspectives on other sectors of the industry, and regions throughout the U.S. and Canada.”
Designed to meet the needs of helicopter first responders, the two Vertical 911 issues (ALEA and AMTC) will have the same from-the-front-lines, by-the-people-who-are-the-news focus that made Vertical an award-winning publication and the most trusted resource in the North American civil helicopter industry.
The launch of Vertical 911 is actually part of a larger plan for MHM overall. Said publisher Linda Reyno, “We see Vertical 911 as a chance to not only expand our already vaunted and respected coverage of the helicopter industry, but put in place a first step to expand MHM as a publishing and communications group.”
While she would not provide details of what that would entail, Reyno did say MHM’s plans would set the company up for stable and sizable growth in the both the short- and long-terms.
