Night Flight Concepts awarded NVG contract for Atlanta Police Department

The City of Atlanta Police Department awarded a comprehensive night vision solution contract to Night Flight Concepts, Inc. (NFC) of Port St. Lucie, FL. NFC will provide all of the necessary night vision equipment, pilot and crewmember training, NVG maintenance services and install night vision lighting for the cities MD-500 helicopter. The police helicopter will receive the latest generation night vision capable lighting modification and include NIVISYS NVAG-6 night vision goggles coupled with a comprehensive training program. The aviation section of the Atlanta Police Department provides airborne law enforcement services to the citizens of the City of Atlanta and other surrounding communities.

Night Flight Concepts will install REBTECH's night vision lighting equipment for additional safety, operational readiness and mission capability. The conversion will include modification of all cockpit, cabin equipment and external lighting for night vision compatibility. Additionally, NFC will provide the only FAA TSO-C164 approved night vision aviator goggles (NVAG-6), an NVG inspection service agreement to maintain continued air-worthiness and complete the NVG initial qualification training for the unit's pilots and tactical flight officers (TFO).
